I've recently realized that for months i've felt somewhat lethargic. Perhaps its due to lack of sleep or stress from work. But a friend recently recommended i try taking some vitamin b12 supplements to help with the lethargy. I was like, are you serious? Vitamin B12 helps?
So i decided to look around for myself and came across a lot of information that suggests it really does help. But more importantly, i came across vitamin b12 injections as the preferred method of delivery, which was somewhat strange. You can get your vitamin C in tablet form so why not b12?
As it turns out, vitamin b12 is one of the harder vitamins to absorb. Our ability to absorb it also decreases with age.

But first a bit about vitamin b12 itself. It is a crucial vitamin that plays an important role in blood formation and regular function of the brain and nervous systems.

The best method of delivery is via vitamin b 12 shots. The injection is given directly into the muscle and can be quite a painful experience i'm told.
For those of you with an aversion to needles in general, fear not, there is another effective option.
Nasal sprays. More expensive than pills, tabs or capsules but much more effective at ensuring our body actually absorbs the vitamin. Although the tried and true method of vitamin b12 shots remain popular among most doctors.
Those that wish to correct a deficiency are normally given vitamin b12 shots as this method is the quickest delivery into our bodies.
This vitamin not only helps with lethargy but a whole slew of conditions including depression, memory related problems, sleeping problems and irritability.
Its looking like a wonder vitamin and i can't wait to see if it helps out. So at this point i'm about to opt for the nasal spray because i cannot see myself taking vitamin b12 shots with any regularity. And from the videos i've seen, it really does look painful.
years ago doctors use to take these shots after a long night at the pub or just before classes.....

Very informative Hub - not sure I could go for an injection into the muscle though. Lack of Vitamin D is also factor in lethargy, as most of us don't spend enough time outside and don't get enough in our diets
