Gladiator Shoes Today
By PirateFX
For the past two years, more and more women have been trying out trendy gladiator shoes. You can get them as gladiator sandals, flats, pumps and even stiletto variants. You can also get them in traditional knee high types all the way down to ankle high's. Colors range from the metallic's like Gold gladiator sandals to the common black's and brown's. Its important to keep a few tips in mind if you want to give these shoes a try.
Ankle high gladiators show off your ankles better than most variants out there. Those with thick ankles on the other hand should go for T style sandals or shoes. Thinner legs are matched well with thinner straps. Metallic colors like gold and silver are two very common colors for gladiators. For those that require height and comfort, try gladiator wedges. This combination has been riding the trend of wedges in general.
For something that really strikes the eye, glitter sandals are some of the brightest on the market. Otherwise, the common leather straps on most variants are good enough. Synthetic materials used for the construction of the shoes and straps offer durability and lower prices. Always handy to have in your wardrobe, they do well when you get to show off your legs in a nice mini skirt. If you're nails are in order, you can try on peep toe sandals.
Overall, gladiators aren't really suited for formal events like weddings and such. But they are a great alternative to flip-flops as well as ballerina slippers. Heel height will vary from the highest stilettos all the way down to flats. For those looking for something other than the basic gladiator design, go for those with adornments, zippers and buckles. While they have a wide range of colors, the traditional black or brown leather matches a good range of outfits and colors. To match with a navy outfit, stick to neutral colors like nude, cream and beige.
For added height on top of a heel, try going for nude gladiators. With the availability of these shoes everywhere, perhaps you'd like to give them a try. For casual wear with a twist, they are something you may want to consider. Strangely, fashion affects and influence us in different ways. Some countries have populations that seem to prefer one style over the other. S.E.A countries like Malaysia and Singapore are testament to this. Finding a woman walking down the streets in those countries are pretty rare. This probably has to do with the personal tastes of a people as a whole.
